It's funny, the title sounds like Foursquare is the problem. It's more like;
 "It's not you it's me."
Foursquare is a social check-in site. Tell your friends where you are, where you have been, and maybe you'll be in the same place for an impromptu meet-up. That's been my hope. It's also my disappointment.

Is it me or is it where I'm at? I think it's a little more me than location. I and probably some of you out there was surprised Omaha made the list of cities to 'unlock'. Omaha is so bleeding edge (I know there are some Twitter friends out there from Omaha who are totally bleeding edge. Don't take offense, I'm just feeding the stereotype for a smile.). I'm checking in at Hy-Vee, Walmart, Lifetime Fitness, restaurants. Is that cool?

I see Foursquare is more of a tool for snobbery. "I checked in at Blu" or "I checked in at Sky" or "I checked in at G". Those are all examples of the hippest places across the country (not really, made them up and one is a sushi bar I've never been to in Omaha). To further prove my point I am likely to become 'Mayor' of the Hy-Vee grocery store up the street. A grocery store! What's even sicker is I want to do it. Foursquare is genius that way with it's incentives. Giving you badges, points, and false titles for you to obsess over until you achieve it.

Like I said, It's probably me.
